Has anyone ever come across a used duck boat motor without a destroyed lower unit?

[QUOTE="wmk0002, post: 472159, member: 13975"] I've noticed the same but there are also a lot of ducks guys who want the most modified, tricked out boat/motor they can afford and in reality hardly ever use it or baby it when they do. Similarly to how people do with Jeeps - buy one and begin putting on lifts, 35+" tires, lockers, stereos, brush guards, etc to have an ultimate offroad machine, yet it never leaves the pavement a day in its life. Best time to buy from a duck hunter seems to be right before the season starts. Right after the previous season they will often sell lots of gear and then if they get tax refunds they may go buy a new motor that's quieter and better suited for fishing season, but alas is not fast enough to hole run so they take a huge loss selling it late fall when the used motor market is down.
