Message: <blockquote data-quote="airshot" data-source="post: 514032" data-attributes="member: 1183"><p>Years back I needed to remove an old V4 OMC and used my garage rafters.  Garage was a trussed roof, so I added a 4x4 support from floor to truss about 8 ft apart and threw a chain fall around the lower truss beam.  Had my neighbor come over, he is a big boy, 6'5" weighs about 340 lbs.  He grabbed the chain fall and bounced up and down a few times, solid as a rock !!  Used chain fall to lift off the motor and pulled boat out from under.  Dropped motor in back of a pickup for the new owner.  Kicked the 4x4 supports out and put them in the corner in case I ever need them again.</p></blockquote><p></p>
