Hi, my name is Jesse and I live in a small town in southwest Iowa. I bought my first boat about three weeks ago, it's a 1968 15 foot flat bottom. The registration says it's a "GM", but I can't really find any info on it through my Google searches lol. The guy I bought it from said his grandpa bought it new in '68 and he hadn't used it in the last 8 years so he was going to scrap it. He had already used the trailer for a log splitter. So we struck an agreement on the price for just the boat and a 1971 evinrude fisherman 6hp for $150, I already had the way overkill trailer that's in this pic lol.

Not sure the video will work and if it does its very pixelie. The old evinrude started on the first pull after priming and seemed to run great.

I plan to do some mods here in the near future. I have a Motorguide 30lb thrust bow mount trolling motor and I'd like to install a small deck/floor much like the thread that lead me to sign up here...

Anyways, that's my little intro. I've already learned much from cruising around this site and hopefully I can be of some help to someone at some point. Thanks for looking!

Looks like a good deal, Jesse. Nothing wrong with an oversized trailer. The old 6 horse...the video worked.....sounds great. but, at the very least, replace the impeller. If you can't do it yourself, ask to watch some one else do it. Then you'll know. It's not difficult.....if you know how. And you'll be able to check out the gear case oil at the same time.
