This is another of my "barn projects". It was ruined in a Collision while the boat was on a trailer caught in an accident about six years ago.
The Shaft is bent. But long before the shaft was bent in the accident, some kind of switch or round somethingorother was pulled out of the little head on top the motor shaft. A Hose clamp was holding the upper to the lower part of the shaft.
Does that 535 stand for "Five Speeds" and "35 Lbs of Thrust"?
Was that a good motor or a Battery hog?
This one looks like it was in Salt environment because the Dataplate is corroded in spots.
Any of you guys ever owned one or used one?
For a long time I've had this idea of making an Inboard/outboard electric motor for a small boat. This poor old guy may become part of a great experiment. :shock:
