Arrived at the lake about 3pm,fished till about 8pm.
Think I drove to far, ended up raining and the air temp. was cooler then the water temp..
I was in my truck and a local came over to talk to me about what fish are in this lake, etc.etc and the flies are all over him.I mean he is there with a t-shirt,no hat, talking to me like there not even there.I mention theres few flies and he says.. .ya, a few but if you ignore them they don't bother you??I say ya ....and grabbed the bug jacket, these guys are tuffer then me.
The fishing was alittle tuff too.Buddy told me there was a pickeral tournament in the lake yesterday so you know they were going to catch bass also.
I did manage to land 6 smallies and 4 tiny pickeral.
It's post spawn also...going to have to start throwing some plastic and slow down...unless the wind is blowing:)
Heres a picture of one,the bass were all about this size.
The pickeral were small..they keep/kill them in these pickeral tournaments.15.06.09.jpg

People look at me in disgust when mosquitos and gnats are in swarms all over me and I don't fly or swat them.. You really do get used to them and the more you ignore them, the less you notice them. There are a few occasions when they get in my eyes and on my contacts and stick to them - that's when I start having problems... but I solved that with a new pair of WileyX sunglasses that have the wind protection insert that literally encloses your eye..

Good fishin!
