The electric start works.I haven't seen the motor myself just pictures so far. It's 2 hours away from my location.It doesn't start according to the owner.He put a new wiring harness on it thinking that was the problem and it didn't change anything.I am currently running a 35 HP Johnson on a 16 foot Klamath center console that needs shift control fixed and I ran across this 50hp version. I wouldn't mind the extra horsepower but not if it's going to be a money pit with unobtainable parts.
