Lowrance and huminbird SI

Seems we were talking Side imaging, it looks as tho H bird has filed a paten infringement against Lowrance, It may not be the best time to go out and buy a side scan lowrance, as there very well may not be any software upgrades etc in the future.. Also any huminbird 797si owners that thought they got the shaft when down imaging was released, they have just released the software update for the 797si to get down imaging...

The bird set-up with side imaging. I have the low hds5.

The bottom line is 1000.00 bux, the hds 5 is about 800, plus another 6 for the side scan, I think between the 5 and 798 there is a fair comparison..

Oh man, my brother will be seriously PO'd if that sticks. He has both a HDS10 and HDS7 of his boat and just recently upgraded to the side imaging.

they use different platforms bird held lowrance up for 2 years before it came out

I missed a KILLER deal on a Humminbird 797 SI at Gander Mt. They had an end of season closeout last week and the final price was.....$600!!! I just needed to wait a couple more days for my tax return. I went yeaterday and they are back up to $797.
