Minn Kota Alternator charger

OK a buddy gave me brand new on-board charger it is an Minn kota MK-2-DC my question is this. Being this charger runs off DC from the alternator while driving. Is there a way to wire this to a standard 110v house outlet ? I really want to make this charger work it is a 2 bank charger that would work great. any Ideas ?

I have no idea if this would work as I am not that smart when it comes to such stuff but maybe some sort of store bought converter that will pug into the wall and have a female 12 volt cigarette lighter plug on the front. Then you could hard wire a 12 male cigarette lighter plug to the charger. Kinda like this....just a thought.
