Minn Kota foot pedal

Looking for a foot pedal for my Riptide SP. Read lots of reviews on both the corded & cordless models (mostly bad) Many seem to like the older style corded model over the cordless because of the speed control features (apparently easier to use) The advantage of the cordless is obvious. Anybody that can provide me with real life experience using both, which did you prefer, etc will be crowned King. Thx
