Last year my little girl, all of just 12, re-riveted "her" boat. This year I asked her what her plans were ... as I told her I had to put a new transom on it. She wanted to paint it blue and add a stripe. I told the seats were a tad ratty looking too, as you can see in the photos below.

Here's the results below ... and now she knows how to sand, pop-rivet, use a rivet gun and bucking tool, paint with a brush, knows how to roll & tip (she likes tipping best), knows the difference between a regular screwdriver and a Phillips head and knows the advantaged/disadvantages of using a bolt versus a screw.
