I think it will work but im the only one here that knows nothing about boats. So I work at a sheetmetal shop and we do have to do some aluminum fabrication sometimes. I have access to aluminum square tube and aluminum plate. I was thinking this. The 2 bolts under the motor on the transom go out to the back and through the motor mount bracket. I have them circled in yellow. What if i cut the existing bottom lip off and rip that wood out. Replace bottom lip with aluminum angle then install 4 aluminum square tubes vertically and spaced out somewhat evenly. Two of these tubes would be located where the motor mount trough-bolts sit. Then I would install an aluminum plate over all that, all the way across like the plywood is now. I could then weld, rivet, or screw all of this together. Would that work?</p></blockquote><p></p>
