I'm an avid fly fisher and came across a boat for a project. I don't know much about the boat other than it was my father in laws. It's a monarch model 1547. Rated for a 30 horse motor. I'm thinking I'd like to strip it completely down for a repaint and replace a few rivets. I'm going to a casting deck up front for sure. I'm kinda toying with the idea of poling platform but I need to see how she floats first. I've attached a few pictures of the current states she's in. I may also use it to bowfish so I may make a compartment under the front deck for the battery and possible help with weight if I attempt a platform in the rear.

Looks like a great little project. What kind of decking are you going to use? I would take her out to the water and stand in it, to test how stable she is. Do you plan on putting a TM or an OB? There are a TON of ideas and information on here that will help. Good luck with the restore and welcome to the forums.
