Any ideas for storing a few fishing rods Horizontally. I have a Lowe 1440M and I want to be able to store rods and the boats oars.

Post up a pic so that some of us simple minded folk here can brainstorm with ya. Show us what your thinkin. I'm getting the extra materials together to box out the sides on my tuna can so my kids dont jump on my babys. Im going to take out the braces and box it for to aft of the rear deck, it will square up flush to the hinge of my storage. Stay tuned for that one.

I plan on cutting 4 holes in the front bench(see red circles in pic) and then mounting a rod holder like this one from bps (see red line in pic) https://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_55181_100011007_100000000_100011000_100-11-7 . I can store 4 rods per side.

Make a rod box. See mine in my sig. All your rods and paddles and such fit in it (you don't row that boat do you?). Then, when you get to a spot, you pull out the 3 - 5 rods you plan to use, and put them on the deck beside you, with the reels in the bow, and the tips facing backwards. You can get to them easily from the seat/trolling motor. When you get to a different spot, and plan to fish a different set of techniques, you merely swap them out. When you trailer, put them all in, and they are safe, and no longer need to be unloaded for storage.

Im looking at using the rod savers though they look alittle more sturdy. Im still deciding if i want to cat that many holes in my boat..
