Opinions on ABU Garcia Black Max Combo

Guys, Academy Sports has the ABU Garcia Black Max rod and reel combo on sale right now for $40.00, what are your opinions. I am currently using 4600 c3's and a 5600 c4 but wanted to try a low profile and lighter rod and reel combo and the budget is tight right now. Is it worth the money?

I started out with a Black Max Reel as my first bait-caster a few years ago. It is probably the best "cheap" low profile bait-caster reel out there. One you have it set up properly, you won't have any problems. I currently still use mine for spinnerbaits and boogee baits.

man thats a good deal. all the stores around here sell just the blackmax reel itself for 40 bucks. id say, go 4 it

Ive got 2 that i use all the time.Its well worth the money.
