Finally got started on ripping the paint off wasn't as time consuming as I anticipated used a wire drill tool and some stripping compound its like a gel slop it on let it dry scrap it off worked pretty slick for that stubborn duck boat paint

Here is a couple pics after knocking off most the loose paint with wire drill tool

Flipped it over to get the bottom paint off and the rest of the loose paint
I did forget to take pics before applying some of the green gel to the one side sorry but got em for the other

And anyone think this needs to be replaced I got delayed by rain today it does have a lil' flex to it but where the arrows are pointted it has warped away from the back of the boat prob time for a new transom just wanted a second opinion

I'd replace it while I was painting the boat. Then you can paint underneath it anyways.
 
Oh and be careful with sealant like rubberized undercoating and such. It creates extra drag and I've seen2 cases where boats wouldn't plane with the same motor anymore.
