These 2 sites are run by TinBoats member pelagicbldr. Pelagicbldr joined TinBoats.net back in June of 2010. I wish I knew earlier, I would of dumped a couple of these in my prime fishing spots last year.

Fishiding and structurespot are all about promoting a healthy underwater habitat. Take a few minutes and check out the sites. I can go on, but you need to see them for yourself. I like the fact that you can customize and bend them the way you want and then all you need to do is toss them overboard where you want. I would love to see what these look like with Sidescan/down imaging.

Take a look at these pictures. https://www.fishiding.com/Page_1.html
Can you imagine the quality of the fish that will be attached to these things especially once they algae over?

Thanks Dave!

AWESOME stuff - welcome to TB

I am always looking to add my own structure and have build some crazy stuff over the years.

BTW some bowling balls float

Hey...this is good stuff.....Welcome to TinBoats as a sponsor.

This is such a great site! We just continue to improve!

Thanks for the warm welcome! This site does get better constantly...great job. We have a pic on our site that does show one unit with sidescan imaging, take a look. The units all show up well on sonar. Some guys don't like the fact that others can find it as well. We feel that if the cover is to scant/thin to see on sonar, the fish don't prefer it as much as more dense cover. Our products are designed to promote adding structure to benefit the fish/fishery. WE also have a bunch of footage of seasoned cribs full of fish and algae. The tape is being edited and will soon be on our site. Thanks again for welcoming us into the gang!!

Is there a state listing or a site with a quick reference as to what is allowed and not allowed to be used in terms of structure? I would like to buy one or two of these for some public ponds I fish. They are back woods and have no fishing pressure.

I am not aware of such a listing although it would be helpful. Most state owned waters require permission/permit to place structure in their waterways. This is an attempt to keep people from tossing trash in the lake and calling it structure. A good idea to detour such schmucks from contaminating our waterways. Most dnr guys I've spoken with, know people still sink stuff to create a secret fishing spot. The industry as a whole is pro habitat and seems to allow most products to be used in a safe manner. Depth of structure is always a concern, making sure products are deep enough away from swimmers, skiers and boaters, with good reason. Using products accepted by the industry keeps us on the good side of the fisheries biologists and dnr staff.

In many small scale cases, a visit to your local dnr office with a sample of what you intend to install is all you need. A map of the lake and where you want to sink should be presented to them as well. This would be the way the dnr would like people to handle such projects, although they approve the use of artificial products installed, they know most is simply dropped in without their knowledge. Hope this helps.

I look forward to seeing that. Similar PVC structures around here do not yield the same results as the same shape made with wood. Theories abound as to why this is but most agree that it may have something to do with the algae growth.

Thanks for the sponsorship.
