i have an honda bf 50A i bought from a freind of a freind and i have a couple questions i hope someone can answer....
1. i want to know what year it is and can not figure out how, on the side of the motor it has a sticker that says it conforms to all 2006 epa omissions and all 1998 something or another. does this mean its a 2006? also on the inside of the motor cover it has a 1994 stamped in black, any idea what this is?
2. my boats uscg hp max rating is 40hp, the honda weighs 215 lbs(most models weigh this on all the year models ive seen) wich is 100lbs heavier than my 25hp i have now. would putting the honda on my boat be a good or bad idea?
3. where do i find the serial or year on the motor? every outboard ive seen has a small plate with model and year but i cant find it on the honda...
