sand blasting/wood for decking

I wanted to blast a couple boats next weekend and was wondering what material was best/cheapest. Also What wood does everyone use for decking? I'm working on a 12 v hull starcraft, a 14 semi v flat bottom...neat boat, no clue on the make, and a 12 foot aluma craft Jon... two need paint, all three need decks. Thanx in advance for any help you could give me !!

I would be very careful blasting aliminum. Sand may be a little to coarse. Walnut hulls or some other soft media may be much better. Most here sand, wire brush or use scuffing pads.
Exterior grade plywood can be good if you are careful with selection.
