I know there is a way to do this. I'm trying to do a two word search such as "casting deck". I have tried "casting + deck" and "casting+deck" as I do on other forums. I'm trying to eliminate all posts where, say, "deck" is just by itself.

Just use quotes i believe works best: "casting deck"

Just type: casting deck

you can use google to search here too. just include site:tinboats.net in your search. so for this example, you'd go to google.com, enter the search site:tinboats.net casting deck and get a bunch of results.

this is especially good for things that phpBB says are too short to search for, like "9.9" for example.

A search on a message board/forum can be an exercise in futility and lead to aggravation. Not everyone can spell, nor do they use correct terms, i.e. jon boat vs. john boat. I don't know how many times I have seen a V-hull is called a jon, or a jon called a mod-v. A casting deck could be referred to as a raised platform. It REALLY helps to have an imagination.


And then there's dealing with posters, like myself, that has trouble with linear thoughts.............
