Hello! I am reaching out in an attempt to help my not so tech savvy Dad with his boat.
He has a Sportsman 16 foot aluminum boat that will be stored in salt water in Southern Jersey for several months out of the year.
He painted the bottom of the boat under recommendation, but 3 short weeks later, the speed of the boat was significantly slowed down as we found that the bottom of the boat was already covered in growth and barnacles. Here, come to find that the paint that was recommended to him at the store, contained no anti-fouling properties.
We’re looking for help with a recommendation for the best paint option, based on where his boat is stored. I’ve googled to no end and only confused myself more with so many options.
