This may be a stupid question, and it's not for my boat, it's for my truck, but can I get a good ground using a ss screw to the frame of my truck? I just replaced my fuel pump and put in new ground and pump is not working. Now I'm thinking the stupid screw has something to do with it. Figured I'd ask you fellas, I 'd hate to drop the tank again, but it would be better than going over the whole electrical system. I HATE schematics. :(

Yes, I cleaned all rust off first. I'm thinking tomorrow I just take the bed off my truck and go through it instead of dropping tank.

If it's a Ford did you check the relay or fuse? Of if the pump had power to it? I did the same thing and it was a bad fuse, I laughted at my buddy as it was his truck. I did pull the bed.

Thanks guys for input. I ended up pulling the bed off and checking all the wires. I put a new heavy copper lug on after really grinding the frame, and she started right up. Pulling the bed was a LOT easier than dropping the tank was. Plus I was able to really clean the frame off. Must have been 10 pounds of mud and rust in the c-channels and nooks and crannies.
