Was walking past cameras in Wally World today... These display models are acting as great dust catchers - you could write your name in the dust on the inside. :shock:

:shock: Wow! Our Walmart has lenses on the cameras (don't know how they're secured to the camera) but at least they have a lense where you can look through it. They'll probably sell those camera bodies to someone...........at full-price too. So, there's a D3000 (model I have), and a D40 getting ruined sitting there uncovered. I wonder who setup that display!
Whenever I change lenses I always try to keep the body pointed down to eliminate/reduce the chance of dust getting in there.

Ditto that - my wife on the other hand. After she used the camera, I found the lense just sitting in the bag, no covers on either side of it. The camera had a lens attached, but she lost the cover for it. The whold day she only took 15 pictures - half of which she must have been running when she snapped the photo they were so blurry. Could have used a point-n-shoot and go the same results. :roll:

Yep, I've had to clean my Canon sensor from shooting/changing lenses in a wood dust environment; it's not hard, but why leave it like that? They could at least have the body covers on! Just anther reason not to buy camera gear from Wal-Mart.
But then again they are Nikon bodies, so maybe it will help them a little bit...
