Can any one recommend a good switch for Bilge pump and lights? Not sure if I need to install a fused panel. My used boat was wired but not connected to any thing!?

Can't recommend a good switch, just make sure its designed/built for marine use. And yes, you should use a fuse, it can prevent an electrical fire and on a boat, there aren't many places to run. A fused panel works well, search some of the build threads and you will get some ideas.

Here's the best place I have found to get switches. Excellent to deal with and great prices and selection. I have there switches in my pontoon boat and polaris RZR.

Hereis mine https://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabelas-Standard-Rocker-Switch-Panel/699792.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3DsearchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Dmarine%2Bswitch%26x%3D0%26y%3D0%26WTz_l%3DHeader%253BSearch-All%2BProducts&Ntt=marine+switch
I didn't pay $99 for it though.

My tin is built on a budget, so this is the one I bought:

I wanted breakers instead of fuses.

25 bucks at the local boat shop.

It's never given me any troubles....

If you are looking for switch panels the the link that I posted isn't the cheapest way to go but if you are wanting single good quality switches to make your own switch panel it"s good. Here are a few places that I got stuff from when I rebuilt my pontoon boat that might come in handy. Free shipping from both places.

I have this one, except mine is 5 way with a 12V socket. No complaints so far, and wiring was fairly simple.

Regular old wall switch like gos in the house with a nice cover to match. 68 cents at Home Depot. Have used them for years, just put them flat side mounted so their not facing up in the rain. The 70 bucks I spent last year for the marine switch panel lasted about a year. Then you have to replace the whole panel of switches at 70 bucks again. Now I pay 68 cents per switch to replace. Funny thing is I have not replaced any yet. Easy to mount and you can get a cover for four switches in different colors and the plastic type dont rust. Make sure you always put the correct fuse size for the circute your using them on. That goes without saying for any circute.

Not cheap, in fact the most expencive I could find, but Blue Sea Weatherdeck are about as good as a switchpanel with fuses get. I have the one with eight switches, and it has lived trough frost, snow, powerwashing and everything else I have thrown at it. :) I also like that the switches are kind of in grooves, so I don't hit them by mistake with my legs.
