Practiced with the camera in the spare minutes between sleeping and working. I have always tried to get a good aquarium photo and failed. Tonight was no exception. I read online about how to shoot aquariums and it helped, but not much. Anyway, out of 55 photos, I had 2-3 I liked. Here's one...

Also, I found these abandoned railroad tracks on the route I drive to work every day - NEVER SAW THEM BEFORE. It looks great in person, right in the middle of all the stuff built up around it subdivisions, office buildings, etc. It looks great in person, maybe my perspective was too high in the photo, should have been lower I guess.

Thanks for looking, any suggestions are appreciated :)

Nice shots. I read somewhere that sometimes people put a piece of white paper behind the aquarium and using indirect lighting (not a direct-on flash) when taking pics of them. I agree with you on the rr track shot about getting a lower perspective, and maybe even try a shot from either the left or right side of the tracks, crouched down low. It's kinda weird how there are places like that hidden, with civilization built-up around them.

I like #2 but i would like to see it lower for lack of better words in a dogs view low.
