First off let me say this site is freaking' AWESOME!!

I'm a newbie to the site and picked up a 13ft 9" semi v boat. Seeing all of the mods on this site has given me a bunch of ideas.

I do have a couple questions to ask for the main purpose of getting your suggestions and ideas.

I bought this boat for the intentions of the the following, I wanted a boat to use on HP restricted lakes, electric only lakes, and for lakes where i must use paddle power. I have a 14ft Phantom bass boat for the bigger lakes that allow bigger motors.

My family and I love fishing and I am also starting to get them interested in duck hunting. The boat will have 4 of us on board. My wife, twins (4 yrs old boy and girl) and myself. We love fishing and just floating.

I want to set the boat up so we can just do some basic fishing but, also want to set it up so I can fish for some monster catfish. What would be your suggestions for mods to do so I could have space for the kids to just fish, monster cat-fishing, and duck hunting. I personally like being able to change the boat to suit what trip I am taking. So having to swap accessories or change the boat around is no big deal in fact I find it fun. I look at it as having multiple boats in one.

id remove the middle bench, put a deck up front, a flat floor to mount 2 pedastal seats, some narrow side boxes for a lil storage and somewhere to mount some rod holders and some kind of mounts for a blind, also have storage under the bow deck. IMO its a bit small for 4 people but 2 adults and 2 kids should be fine. question? are you fishing for them monster cats in the ohio river? actually now that i think about it if ur using it on hp restricted and paddle power lakes you should be fine with the boss and ur two privates on board

If your thinkin of duck hunting you should get one of those air cooled jobs, with the long shaft on it. Plus if your gonna have so many people you might think about getting floatation pods on it, kids have a tendency to bounce around a lot!

whats this air cooled job with the long shaft you speak of? and flotation pods on it? have no idea what you mean and im curious is all....
