When she rearended you, did the lights break? There's no way to guarantee the problem is in the lights otherwise, and you'd be best off replacing the whole thing.


If you look hard enough, you can get the whole kit for cheap, and you'll have the peace of mind.

I think the lights broke and then they wouldnt work on the way home. The wires into the broken light looked kinda melted. Dont want to really replace the whole set unless I have too.
 
take the light off and test the current going through the wires that would be going into the light. If you've got current, just buy the lights
 
Sounds like you will probably only need to replace the broken light. As mentioned check for power on the wires at the broken light and if you have power, just replace the light.
