hi everyone
I think this is my first post here (can't remember).
I have a mv 1448 tracker grizzly that I want to put on a bow mount
trolling motor. what shaft leangth should I get a 36" or a 45" shaft ?

It depends on where you are fishing. If it gets windy and there is chop and you have a short shaft, it will come out of the water. I would go with the longer shaft myself.
 
BLK makes a very good point about the shaft length and choppy waters. I fish in such shallow waters that normally my tm prop is only about 6" below the surface, but at times when I got caught in a windy/choppy situation, I had the comfort of lowering it deeper due to the long shaft (42" in my case).
