Good afternoon to all. I purchased a vintage alumacraft bot early this spring and was told there was no hin number. While removing the paint from the inside i found a number on the inside stamped on the rib just under the transom. Ideas what it could be or mean?

Thanks for the info.

My guess is you have some variation of a model F, (F, F7,F14) it's a 14 foot v hull? With 3 full benches and a bow seat? Do you have anymore pics?

check to see if it resembles any of the Alumacraft in my (listed below) posts on rehab. Barring that, post an image of the whole boat.

From the stamped number (which is the model and serial #, btw, it is an F-7.)

Alumacraft has been very gracious each time I emailed the number and a pic, telling me what and when it was made.

Have fun.

The serial number is pretty clearly an F7 which first appears in their line in 1963.
