What's a good (inexpensive) depth/fish finder?

I'd like to pick up a depth/fish finder for my little jon boat. Something I could remove easily when I transport the boat back and forth to the little 60 acre lake we fish. Just want something simple to find the structure and depth. Maybe a craigslist/garage sale/classifieds item.

Are there certain models that are generally problem free (others that I might want to avoid)?

Thanks!
Jeff

I have a simple Humminbird 525 on my rig, and haven't had any problems. I mainly use it for depth. I've thought about upgrading to a color screen model, but find no need for it for where I fish (muddy bottoms / hardly any structure).
