Just noticed the plastic covering on my throttle cables are breaking up at the outboard connection point.
Major problem? Do the cables need to be replaced?

That should be replaced. You could probably cobble up a temporary fix but I'd just replace that one

From the picture, it appears to me that the cable is a bit too short. A lot of pressure was put on that fitting. After replacement, any way you can reroute your cable to put less "bend" pressure on that point? if not, maybe a slightly longer cable would be better.

I'm going to put up a few more pix from a different angle.
