Second Time Out For Me

Second time out this year was kind of disappointing. I could not find a trout to save my life. I did catch this 15" crappie. I normally release them but this looked like a decent size so I put it in the box. Caught it on a gold/chartreuse spoon trolled 22' deep.

Nice looking fish. I've never done much trolling other than for pike years ago.

Today tuned into another one fish day. Except this time my son caught the one fish. I caught nada. I'm definitely having a dry spell.

We were targeting rainbow's. We put out a flat line with a Rapala minnow lure just for fun thinking maybe we could pick something up and this is what he got.

I know, isn't that nuts. Knowing this place, I will probably have to pay a Bee supplement when I renew my license.
