I just started decking the boat yesterday with standard CDX 4/5 ply and didn't get around to sealing it yet and then we had a nice size storm run through and the wood is wet as you can see. Is the CDX now shot or can it be dried out and then sealed? It was already screwed down to the boat in case anyone is wondering why it wasn't just taken inside. The transom was the only thing sealed. I bought the boat 3 years ago for $150. The original transom was shot and was PT too, replaced it with white oak. I don't know much about the boat since the blue card has it registered as a UNK. Not sure if anyone here can identify it just by looks. The one transom bracket is in bad shape, the only thing I can think is to rivet a piece of aluminum angle iron to it. The original owner had a 25hp motor on the boat and I am not sure if that is what caused the damage to that or not.
