Thanks Griz for the feedback. Why would I have to build a new transom? Mine looks to be in great shape (til I drill a bunch of holes in it! :D ) Thanks for any help.

Thanks Lunkerville, I used 3/16 rivets with 1/4 and 3/8 grip depending on the connection.

Hanr3 Thanks for checking it out. I am doing that on that back support, but the front rib is only like 6 inches off the front seat. I said rib to glue a horizontal cross bar to the hull I should have said vent or channel that run the length of the sides. (see photo) and place it further out...

Thanks, Yeah I was looking for a 17 1/2 and this was the closest I could find :lol: Tohatsu supposedly makes all Nissan outboards and Mercury Motors under 25hp. Size? it may be the picture it weighs around 115 pounds.
