Said goodbye to the family dog today

I am very sorry for your loss. As a veterinarian I see people go through making these difficult decisions on a regular basis. It is not a fun part of the job. There is little we can say to make this difficult time easier for you.

    Pontoon Fishing. Why not?

I have a 13' cataraft.....it works good for getting into small areas that you might not be able to get into with a boat. Cons include it can be cold during the winter, it is easy to drop stuff into the water and lose it, not as much room for gear on a pontoon.

    Barbequein' deer meat?

BBQ venison can be very yummy. I like to marinate it in some type of teriyaki sauce....we like Yoshidas for a few minutes before you throw it on the grill. I think the biggest trick is to not overcook it.

    I shot a goose, now I need a reciepe

My great grandma had a secret recipe for this....you put the goose on a board, then you put it in the oven and cook it, then take it out, throw the goose away and eat the board. Just kidding, the best way that I have found is to make it into jerky or summer sausage.

Anybody know how to do this???

We like our trout best when we are camping. We bread it with cornmeal and flour and fry it in butter over the open fire.
