Will you be installing a seat base in the front deck? Was there an issue that prevented you from putting the trolling motor plate below the deck? My old Alumacraft 1648 had 3/4" plywood under the front deck. Nice build, so far!

I only put that jack plate on to give my girlfriend more leg room in the back. Gaining 3 M.P.H. was just a little bonus. It was well worth the money, and easy to install.

See if this picture helps. I've seen the jackplates mounted higher, but I'm not sure I'd try that with a 25HP.
