    2006 Tracker Grizzly 1448

I am only selling my boat to get a bigger one. It works great and haven't had any problems out of it. I need something bigger to take my kids out with me. I am asking $3650 OBO. Contact me with a PM or text/call 812-788-1372, thanks! I will be happy to send more pics if interested. I have ads on...

    Sealing a leaky livewell??

Run a bead of this stuff on all of your seams. I have used it many times and never a failure. Through the Roof https://www.sashco.com/products/through-the-roof/

2006 Tracker Grizzly 1448 Livewell install & Mods

I just used a grinder to grind down to where there was about 1/16" left on the lip, looking at the fitting from the barb side. Then I drilled the hole in the tank to where I had about 1/8" left from the bottom, and used a file to ream the hole out so the fitting would fit flush against the...

2006 Tracker Grizzly 1448 Livewell install & Mods

I will take a good pic of my drain fitting and post it. I would say i left about 1/16" of a lip on the thru hull fitting for the drain. Just enough to bite the edge of the tank to hold it in place. It took some fine filing on the tank hole to get my fitting bottomed out, but it worked well. I...

2006 Tracker Grizzly 1448 Livewell install & Mods

As far as opening my rear hatch with the outboard on, I have about 3/4" clearance from the hatch touching anything to do with the outboard. I affixed the fuel line to the transom and cut out a spot in the hatch for it to pass through.

2006 Tracker Grizzly 1448 Livewell install & Mods

Thanks. For my drain I'm pumping out. That's what the yellow pump is for. I keep the valve closed for recirculation, and pop out the cam hatch on the front cover and open the valve to drain the livewell. It works quite well. I just had to grind on the livewell fitting to get it as close to the...

Balancing my budget vs the needs?

I would be all over Craigslist for the area, you can find a darn nice setup for < $3800, if it were me. I would look for at least a 1448 and at least 15 hp.

Well I'm just about done, except for making it look a little more finished. I took it out and nothing leaks, everything works like I had planned. I think I'm really going to like this setup. Overflow keeps up with the freshwater fill pump, my modified drain fitting works like I was hoping. I am...

G ideas for back deck build

Yes it's plenty strong, but I used 1x2. I think you will be happier if you save the 1x1 for another project & get some 1x2. The hinge really strengthens the deck on the seat side. I'm 225lbs and can stand about anywhere on the thing with 0 flex. If I stand on my toes out on the edge right by the...

How would you patch these holes?

If it were mine I would weld them. If you don't have the equipment to do that, take it somewhere. It shouldn't be expensive at all & you will never know they were there.

    Bigger or better boat?

I have a Grizzly 1448, & love it. It's perfect for 2 adults to fish off of comfortably, in my opinion. 3 is a crowd though. I will be looking for a Grizzly or other welded 1754 tiller when the time comes. The 1648's are nice as well, but not big enough for me to justify getting over my 1448. It...
