    Tin boat is hot

I tried to put up a picture but I will need to use my desktop to upload it. The composite board is pretty thick at just over 3/4 thick. It is also very sturdy and I have the boards attached to my benches and my chair bases attached to the board. I use the pin style bases and seat posts and...

    Tin boat is hot

I have a composite board that I put on all the benches and front deck of the boat. This came from a sign that was removed, so it was free. I haven't seen anything else like it. It is fantastic! It does not get hot at all nor does it get cold. It is the perfect insulator.

Central Florida Bass ??? March Madness

I was fishing in the Windermere/Ocoee area on March 13 and 14th and was in the bass all day long. I didn't have any wall hangers but was wearing out the 2 pounders which to me, is a blast. I picked up some of the Bass Pro Shops stick-o worms on sale in watermelon magic color. It was right after...

how big of a Jon boat 325lb guy.

As a 325 pound guy myself, I have a 1648 and it is great. Very stable wherever I am at in the boat. I was standing on the benches just this past weekend to decide if I want a front deck. It was still stable. I'm not sure I would want anything smaller.

How to brace a jon boat after bench removal

I have used Alumaweld and it was a little more challenging than what you would think. It may work well for an Aluminum coke can like you see at boat shows, but I gave up trying to plug some easy holes I had in one of my benches. To use it, I'd recommend Mapp gas instead of propane since it will...

I don't know if these pictures will show up properly, I'm using an iPad instead of the desktop. #-o This is a picture showing the composite board and the bolted through trolling motor.

Bowmount Trolling Motor Mounting on Jon Boat

I just mounted mine today, but its too dark to take pictures now. I used a composite board and attached the trolling motor atop the board and connected through the metal deck with well nuts. I had concerns about the well nuts but it is very secure. I also screwed the composite board to metal...

    Insuring a boat?

I work for one of the companies mentioned above and can say that insurance for boats can get a little overwhelming since there are many options available. Some of the very basic boats may be covered under your homeowners policy. When driving down the road, your boat/trailer is most likely...

1648 Landau Duck Boat "The Dirty Oar"

That bottom coating looks great! Where did you get it and how much did you order? I am planning on almost the same color blue but with the grey interior.

1648 Landau Duck Boat "The Dirty Oar"

Nice boat! I just purchased it's twin this past weekend and found this site by searching for a 1648 Landau. I am planning on doing deck work similar to yours. However, mine will be more for fishing than hunting.
