Hey guys, just got back into another boat and the motor is a TLDI 40 - 2011 year model. Everything checks out but needs a new tilt/trim motor. Part number below. I have found the Tohatsu part number and I know there are several of these that cross-reference over the brands. Can anyone point...
Im more-so looking for comparison to my 25HP TWO-Cylinder two-stroke. It would just seem, especially with a load, the Honda would do much better.......right?
I currently have a 1996 Evinrude 25 HP, I am wanting something with 3 cyl and stumbled across this Honda. Honda BF 25 3 cyl four stroke. Any opinions? Seems ya cant really beat a Honda at much....
Im assuming that is a 3 cyl correct? Id say the $1,200 mark is MUCH too low. A 2007 is pretty **** new still, and is a sought after, 2 stroke with good power and plenty of opps to mod. Id start around $2,500 for motor maybe more.
That makes sense Pap, and I do appreciate the shared knowledge from you guys. I think I'll order a tac and check my RPMS before ordering a prop. Actually dead-centering my motor greatly helped with the venting issue. My plan is jack plate/TT (still don't know which one haha) and a SS prop for...
I'll rephrase it some, with the 10x15 the motor did not rev as high and when you put two people in the boat my speed dropped down to like 21-22, which I think is too much and was lugging the motor. That's why I think the 10x13 is perfect, should pull a load a lot better and sounds like it revs...
I'm going to bite the bullet and try out a SS prop.
Recently switched form an aluminum 10x15 to a 10x13, didn't lose any top end really and boat is much quicker off the line. I don't have a tach but have a good ear and it sounds like its revving up all the way, and don't think I'd want to rev...
Cost comes into play then ha! What if I got a static Jack Plate and added the Panther T&T. I want some setback if I can....
This leads to me asking, the CMC PT-35 offers setback with T&T, what would be the advantages of going with the Panther?
