Hey guys, I have a 14ft aluminum boat that weighs around 200 lbs with a weight capacity of 1020lbs. I'm running a 55lb thrust trolling motor with a 100ah lithium battery transom mount only. Would this setup be sufficient for running on lakes or should I run a small outboard motor as well...
Need someone's expertise on the placements of the rollers and Bunk Boards on my boat trailer. Are the rollers and Bunk Boards in the proper positions? I have no idea if this setup needs help or not.
Those holes were from a transom plate mounted on the exterior. I have recently replaced the transom board and repaired unwanted holes in the transom. I'm trying to repair the last two holes without drilling anymore holes in my transom board with JB marine weld epoxy. It seems to be staying in...
Just purchased a TCB Worth lithium 12v 100AH battery and charger for my 55 thrust trolling motor. This battery comes in at only 22 Lbs and fits nicely in my Minn Kota battery box. Will see this spring how well it performs.
I was wondering if gluvit epoxy would work or not? I really don't want to drill into my new transom board if I don't need to. I tried JB marine weld with no success.
They seem to be deep. I've had to take a wire wheel with some effort to remove them. Didn't know if it was something to worry about or not. Thanks for the reply
I just purchased a 1970 Jcpenney Foremost 14ft model 1034 serial B052. I can't find much information on these boats as well. I've been given information on previous post from more experienced tin boaters that my Jcpenney Foremost boat has Starcraft characteristics.
Did Starcraft manufacturer aluminum boats with 3 transom knees? I know my pictures don't show the transom very well, but I have 3 knees attached to the transom. As old as this boat is it's a solid little vessel. No loose or missing rivets and no welds. The only thing I've replaced is the transom...
Thanks for the reply.
I also noticed when I replaced the transom board my penny's boat has some signs of light blue and red paint.
I've read on previous post that Lund used those colors back in the'70s.
