Installed the the new trolling motor today.

I used 1 inch aluminum square tubing. Well, the new trolling motor pedal was a bit wider than my old one so I had to widen the box and slot...which I already put carpet on. After, that I managed to carpet the box and put in the grommet for the wires.

Depending on your load and hull condition I would expect speeds around 27ish. I have a 14 footer with a 25 horse and loaded down with tons of stuff it barely hits 23.

I used to get these through work for insane prices (read: 35-45 dollars) and so I've accumulated somewhere around seven of these things. I've had them for about four years and they handle fine for me. They seem to charge faster and the AGM batteries are supposed to handle vibration better...
