Its simply a piano hinges on the front deck, and as far as attaching the wood to the aluminium bench i used deck hangers from home depot and drilled 1/2" holes into the aluminum and used 3/8ths toggle bolts to secure them to the benches. Hope this helps
Will be going to pickup my steering console, control box and shift cables saturday and hopefully converting over to remote steer as well. Will post pics of the completion. The more i think about it. The wood isnt mounted directly to the aluminum up front and on the floor there is 3/4" r25 board...

I havent actually used the boat yet but i think i will like the layout i need to get rid of the bench seat i made and use use the aluminum bench. The wood extension is great but takes up 2' of room from front to back. I did not treat the wood just bought pressure treated
well got a little more work done got my batteries installed in the front. got the inside completely carped front deck is hinged and installed my bow mount trolling motor. steering console fish finders and lights are soon to come

Well i picked up my tracker 1542 Thursday night and spent the entire day modding it. Cant figure out how to post pgotos. Hope to get it figured out soon though so i can showe her off. Bought the boat new picked up a traler for 50 bucks and used Johnson 25hp tiller soon to be remote steer for 750
