How much gas is really left?

Same here with my Frontier. Reads zero miles left, but when I gas up, only takes about 17gal to top off (21gal tank).

    Spinning Reels Under $100

I highly recommend a Shimano Sahara FD. I have a Sahara FD and a Stradic FI, and it's every bit as good.

Trolling Motor Directional Indicator Light Mod

My MK 40AT does not have an arrow indicator light which makes low light trolling difficult. Here's a mod that I came across on https://www.azbasszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46882. It only requres $2.25 of your money and 15 minutes of your time. Well worth the investment. Included a few...

    Is a Bilge pump necessary?

I agree with the guys. Better to have one and not need it, than not have one when you're in deep do-do. I also leave the bilge pump from my portable livewell in the boat as a back up.

Need reviews for a mid 90's Tracker TX17

Hi, I'm looking into getting another tin rig. Came across a 94 tracker tx17 w/a 70hp merc. Can anyone get me some real world measurements (ie. beam width, bottom width)? How is the ride and fishing stability? Likes, dislikes, concerns? I am currently in a modded 1446 flat jon w/a 25hp...

Wrong motor cover on Johnson 35hp??

Yep, pretty much the same motor. Like previously mentioned, you could find a trade or reproduction decal set. Decal set is gonna run you at least $40, and it may be hard to find a similar condition 35hp cowl to trade. Your cowl looks to be in good condition. I'd keep it as is and save my...

Congrats! I'm an Ike fan. I like his passion, plus he's a good stick to boot.

    1432 vs 1242 stability

I concur with PartsMan. The slender, lighter boat will be faster. A 36" bottom width will be more stable than the 32". But you're still going to have to deal with some counter-balancing when fishing two. A 48"+ bottom width boat would fix that, but you're really going to be slow with a 4hp OB.

    livewell

I currently use that kit in an Igloo cooler. Keeps your catch lively. The temporary livewell works perfectly for my intended use (occassional bass tourneys and keeping crappies for table fare).
