I am swapping boat trailers before the boat floors are installed. The replacement trailer is in better shape but the frame rails are wider.

Yellow - Current bunk setup on old trailer
Blue/ Light Blue - Strakes & frame rails
Red - Proposed new bunk location

Are there any issues with going this wide on the hull? I am thinking of doing 2 guide bunks near the keel to keep the boat from slipping off while towing

Progress has been slow over the last week or two. The wood floors are finally ready to be sealed this weekend. I decided to install 3 hatches in the floor. After floor is installed I plan on cutting the foam directly under the hatches to make removable foam plugs. 90% of the time the foam will remain under the hatches. The other 10% will allow me to have inspection holes in the floor. I'll also be able to remove the foam and have a fan blow air into the hull. I know water will get down there and I wanted a way to increase air circulation to dry everything out.

It's been a while... Being sick for almost 3 weeks can really slow down a project. I have made some progress on the boat. Gluvit, floatation, and flooring are complete. Splash well, console, and some trim have been riveted back on before placing the motor on.

Sorry to hear you were under the weather. I'm glad you are feeling better.

The work is impressive. I like the blue color. What floor cover, if any, did you decide? Any thought to recessing the hatch frames to make them flush?
