Hey everyone, I bought this bought back in 1999 from my grandpa. Thanks to all of the knowledge I gleaned from here, I’ve got the gal ready for the water after a couple of decades of sitting in my parents field.

First was the trailer. Rewired everything and upgraded to LED lights. I also added a Harbor Freight jack and spare tire holder and a new winch. Paint is Rustoleum’s farm and implement in a gloss black. Lots of wire wheel, sander and acetone on this but I’m happy with it.

Then it was onto the transom. Took a bit to get this out, but patience and will power. I coated the new transom with a fiberglass resin. Used a marine silicone on the bolts and went over that with coat it. Painted over that with a the Rustoleum gloss black and primer grey on the inside

Next was to seal the boat. Coat it on the bottom followed by paint. Again wire wheel, sand paper followed by acetone prior to applying the two coats of coat it.

Then time to paint. Rustoleum farm and implement in gloss black (looked good everywhere else so why not) and Ford blue. Lost of taping and waiting. Decided to make it “pop” by two toning it and painting the “rib” black as well. My daughter helped a lot, as did my wife and son. I’m happy with how it came out

Then seats and floors. Everything wood was sealed with a fiberglass resin. Also, I added expanding foam under the floors and made a mold to go under the seats of the styrofoam I pulled out (not pictured). That stuff expands quickly, but it worked out

Then it was time to wire up the lights. Navigation, headlights, radio and floor lights using a switch panel to power it all up.

Last was some seats for easier cruising. Now I just need a good motor to put on her and we’re off…

Again thank you all for the suggestions and if you see me on the River or lake, say hello!

Talk about a glow up! It'd look better in chevy orange, but other than that, fantastic job!
