    What a day... (Long Rant)

Kudos to you for taking great care of your friend! Keep an eye on him, as a lack of communication, social interaction, and willingness to participate in past interests can be a sign of depression. Losing a life partner after 41 years can be devastating.

    Millennium Seats.....Worth the price?

Our application....I'm 265#, buddy is 260#, and we both sat on them (at bow) at 20mph, wind chop (15-18 knots of wind) and white caps, with not a single issue. The pedestals are fit very snugly so there it is unlikely they can be lifted as described in your situation. The straps were never an...

    Millennium Seats.....Worth the price?

My buddy decided to purchase two of the Pro-M model seats for his '23 Bass Buggy 18DLX. These are the anodized models. Wow! They are very comfortable. The quality of the build is excellent. We sat in them for approx 3 hours and they are MUCH more comfortable than the OEM cushioned seat that...

    Boating Etiquette

Unfortunately, there are no "etiquette" related questions, at least, on the CA Boater Card nor on USCG courses for recreational boaters (that I can recall). I possess the CA Boater Card and USCG certifications. I have been boating since 1980. It just dawned on me that I have split the last 44...

    Millennium Seats.....Worth the price?

What issues did you have with the straps? The anodized version (Pro-M series) requires drilling frame to use the cables, where as the non anodized version (B series) comes pre drilled.

    Millennium Seats.....Worth the price?

Read a post on this forum from June 2024 that these Millenium seats get very hard after the fabric "stretches out." For those that have used them for a few years....have yours stretched out?

    Millennium Seats.....Worth the price?

These are the ones he is considering. We had a chance to see and sit on them last night at our local BPS. They are very nice! As mentioned, they are wider. Well constructed and heavy duty. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/millennium-marine-comfortmax-pro-m-100-boat-seat

    Millennium Seats.....Worth the price?

My buddy is considering the Millennium Marine ComfortMax Pro-M 100 Boat seats for his '22 Bass Buggy 18DLX pontoon. His OEM seats are very uncomfortable...his three fishing seat backs have you leaning directly upright to slightly forward. I have seen some of you using them on your tinnies...

What have you done to your Tin Boat today?

Where can you fish on boat in the evenings? Most lakes around me are off by pre-dusk rule. Be nice to try night boat fishing, but nowhere close to try it. Would have to head oveer to CO river and its lakes for night fishing.

I didn't know small boat trailers were made in China. I thought most were made in USA.

Where do most people go to sell a used aluminum boat these days?

I use both CL and FB Marketplace. Both work well in my area. However, it appears that FB is starting to become the go-to place to sell just about everything. I usually place my ads on both sites.

    Honda 9.9hp value?

It's all about timing and location.....here in CA right now it would sell for $1000, considering the low hours. If it is beat up (scratches to cowling, gouged prop, etc)...then less. I can't imagine anywhere in our great country where it would be worth less than $700! Hondas are great durable...

1993 Klamath 14' Deluxe - Swivel Seat Install Questions

I know you prefer not to remove alum and top wood....but that would be the preferred method IMO. You need to access underneath, add backing, and through bolt the seat mounts. That would make the seat mounts strong and safe. You surely do not want to lean back hard and have the mount pull out...

    Fishing Magazines

I am currently subscribed to California Fly Fisher (for the past 7 years). New owners as of 2023/24....their first edition is pretty good IMO for CA stuff! Previously subscribed to Southwest Fly Fishing, The Drake, and Fly Fish Journal. I now focus on mags from my home state and what local CA...

Your first TinBoat. Post you pictures.

Your Ford Explorer, connected to your boat, reminds me of my father.....he had a '93 Explorer that he used to drive from CA to FL to purchase a '78 Drascombe Lugger sailboat. He was 65 at the time (back in 2008). I often think about this....I'm 61....would I venture to FL to purchase a boat...

    9.9hp Motor Hoarder

First, that is one COOL nautical neighbor!!!! Parts availability is what I would want to know first. Carbs are a non issue for me...as they can be tuned to near FI performance (especially Honda carbs!). 9.9 are a popular engine. Is it SS or LS? If you are in need of a 9.9hp engine, on a budget...
