Where do most people go to sell a used aluminum boat these days?

If color was the only issue, I'd do a vinyl wrap on it.

Anyone know what year my new boat is?

Having 3 knee braces might give a range of years it could be. Have you identified the model?

First time boat owner with a few questions

The jack plate does 2 things first it raises the motor second it moves the motor to the rear 4 inches. Thats setback. You can drill out a few more of the dimples on the jacker and raise the motor an inch or more. My motor is about 2 inches above the bottom of my hull.

    Hub bearing sizing

I would take it apart and see what it needs. Clean the bearings and races do an inspection. Might only need the bearings repacked. You will still need a new seal, check the old seal for a number or measure the spindle. If you need everything new you will know exactly what parts you need. Also...

    1970 Ouachita 1436

I run a short shaft 25 hp Mariner that weighs 105LB on a 1971 1436 Sea King. I moved the fuel tank and battery forward to help balance out the boat. I still have to watch when coming off plane, I have to give it a little throttle so a following wave doesn't come over the transom.

    Difficult Stern/Bottom Repairs?

It's hard to tell how bad it is. I'd take a stainless-steel wire wheel on a drill or angle grinder and strip it down.
