    Bimini Top

I have a cheap 4 bow bimini off Amazon that's been holding up good. Haven't gone over 30mph with it up and I'm sure it's not as sturdy as a $500 custom bimini but it suits my needs.

Go Pro Cameras...Do you use one for fishing/boating?

The wife wants to get one to film the kids tubing. I rarely pull out the camera when fishing unless it's a really nice fish even then half the time I don't get pics.

Well, I did it…. Minn Kona help needed

That was my thought a brushless motor generates less heat and wouldn't be as prone to overheat on long runs under full power.

What have you done to your Tin Boat today?

Mounted a orca 40qt cooler . I must have looked at every brand that sells coolers to find one that would fit between the rod boxes and still allow room for my tackle bag yet not be much if any taller than the casting deck. It not only holds food/drinks for long days/nights but now a full size...

    Electrical issue question

It's almost certainly a chaffed wire touching the hull or something metal that attaches to hull. Could be the slightest of nicks too.

    Trailer fenders questions

My 1436 has fenders like that. Actually yours are better mine are literally a piece of plastic 55gallon drum that was cut out and used as fenders. It's never been a problem but I don't put many miles on that trailer.

    Electrical issue question

Mine is on the positive. I have a blue seas battery switch and the instructions had the pos wires running to the switch.

    Electrical issue question

Getting a current reading off the hull would worry me too electrolysis is no joke. Could there be a nick somewhere on a positive wire where it comes in contact with the hull? Is your bilge pump automatic? I've had float switches in the auto bilges kill batteries.

Coleman Crawdad.. with swamp runner mud motor.....

That always seems to be the problem with abandoned boats. Some states have work arounds others make it impossible. Shame I bet a lot of fixable/usable boats get scrapped because of a lost title.

Can anyone tell me about this boat?

Yeah that's an interesting knee brace setup on that boat. If that's factory it should certainly narrow down manufacturer personally never seen anything like it. The seating arrangement and gunnels and overall shape remind me of my 1976 polar kraft 1436.

Boat ramp traffic way down and fewer boats on the water?

Ethanol free 91 @ the pump closest to me that offers it is $4.99. Luckily my yamaha 4 stroke is quite efficient downside is the boat has a 40gallon tank . Truck averages between 14-16 mpg while towing the boat depending how fast we're going which I think is pretty good with the wind drag of a...

    Pontoon yacht.

I've seen a couple double decker pontoons on the lake but the upper level is small. Maybe half the length of the lower level and always with a slide from the upper level. Looks like a tun of fun !

Boat ramp traffic way down and fewer boats on the water?

So our plan to get on the water early this am to avoid the crowds worked. Not sure how needed it was the campground on this stretch of river looks 2/3 empty. Usually boats and docks line the shore for about a mile but I see most haven't even put the docks in yet. It's 10am and I've seen 1 jon...

Boat ramp traffic way down and fewer boats on the water?

We just got back from the electric only lake that's right behind us and only 1 boat trailer was at the ramp. It was a 18ft deep v pro craft and they were trying to launch in about 6 inches of water. They had to put the subaru outback they used to tow it with in the water with the water almost to...
