    Sea King

That cleat and bow cover plate look exactly like the ones on my 1965 Starcraft 16' runabout. If my memory is right I think it was a Vincent model?? Gotta dig out some old paperwork...

    Sea King

Your boat could have been made in a Starcraft mfgr plant, but title or paperwork may say otherwise. Very little paperwork was found back in the 50-60's. Often the difference is in the small details and hardware.

Powering your home during power outages

Another reason for going to a propane genny, gas and diesel have no real shelf life and fresh fuel can be hard to come by in hurricane. However propane lasts a very long time, years even so long term storage is not an issue !

    Sea King

Just having a simple description makes it difficult to say, pics might help. Back in the 60-70's and even into the 80's lots of off brand aluminum boats were made by popular/ big name boat mfgrs. Back in the 90's I owned a Northwood aluminum boat, built in a Starcraft plant along side their...

    TriHull vs Deep V hulls

Look closely at the hull, when a V hull cuts thru a wave it splits it in half but a trihull when on plane, uses the two sponses to grab that split wave and pushes the bow up again quickly and the flater more vertical sides allow spray back into the riders face. Unless your going slow or in calm...

Looking at a 1983 Johnson 35 tiller: thoughts?

If you are able to do thorough testing and can do your own repair, then a motor that needs something is doable...often sellers don't like buyers testing there motors. I have always made my motors run well before selling, and never have a problem selling them.

    Older Lund…WC14?

Use it for a while before deciding on a prop. You will be adding weight as your build moves along and that weight can cause a change in pitch required.

Adding a permanent fuel tank in a 1992 Sea Nymph 161Fishing Machine

Dimensions are needed to find a tank that will fit. On my Sylvan 16' the tank sits under the floor about 2/3 of the way back. Two long aluminum stringers run back toward front with tank in between. A 3/8" plywood deck covered in carpet covers the tank. On mine the fill outlet comes up inside...

    Pricing restored boats

Unfortunately boats are not like cars where they value can rise a lot after restoration. Your best bet would be the antique motor collectors that might be looking for specific years to compliment an outboard motor. Every area is different....by the way....nice looking boat !!

Boat Cover for Alumacraft F7 Modification

If you plan on the cover going over the trolling motor, your gonna need a custom made cover. If you plan on towing with the cover on you need a custom made cover. General purpose covers are not made to a precise fit, covers need to be taught and supported to keep water and snow out and over the...

    Boat seam sealant?

In answer to your original question, I have had good success with "goop", but I keep my boats on trailers and not in the water. So for short term splashes the goop has worked well. Another product I came across is called " Leak Stopper" available thru home depot and tractor supply. It is a...

    Looking at a 14' Skiff w/ 25HP Yammy -?

Do you mind nd getting some spray in your face or spray in your boat. Skiff doesn't ride much different than any other boat with a similar type hull. Skiff is a term that many folks use and can mean different things to different folks. In my area, a skiff is an open boat with tiller steering...
