    TimeUSB 100AH 12.8V Pro LiFePO4 Battery Review

They do not recommend that. If going with two in series or parallel, they recommend using the same battery model purchased at same time. That is the same with Lead-Acid batteries.

    TimeUSB 100AH 12.8V Pro LiFePO4 Battery Review

I run a 45lb MG Wireless on the bow of the DMI1648. Plenty of power, but might upgrade to a GPS model, and would get a minor bump in thrust to 55lb. With our 70lb on the 17’ G3 never ran them to 50% and they were only 80 Ah. That is all day fishing in a river with heavy anchor lock use...

    Driving a Tesla

I saw a recent news blurb that CA has excess solar on many days, and requiring batteries for new installations to get the incentives.

    TimeUSB 100AH 12.8V Pro LiFePO4 Battery Review

Thx to tracking cookies, I’m seeing lots of adds for 100Ah LiFePO4 Batteries. Many are $50 more, but a few are like $10 less. If they have Bluetooth $100+ more.

Web Sites That Help Catch Fish.

I don't use any. In-Fisherman use to be my favorite mag, covering multi-species and mostly how-to. My son watches Utube videos of anyone fishing the Susquehanna for smallmouths. There was a guy that did allot of how-to on his Elec powered kayak. I watched a few of them, and even agreed with...

    Best fishing poles.

I probably had only Ugly Stick and Ugly Stick Lites, from late 80's to 2000. I can't recall ever breaking one or even replacing a tip guide. They performed even better for me when Spyderwire and Fireline braids came out. I kept them around for years, stored in the rafters in the basement...

    Driving a Tesla

Most, if not all is returned to water vapor. While there would be no impact to our oceans, the water vapor emmitted would change climate to some extent. Maybe for the better? I still remember my 9th grade science experiment with electrolysis. When I lit off the hydrogen, made the biggest...

    TimeUSB 100AH 12.8V Pro LiFePO4 Battery Review

I have them installed, see: HERE I plan to still upgrade to 6 awg from batteries to plug. We'll be testing them starting in September. Are you gong for the smaller G24 100Ah one?

finding transom saver for trailer / motor

I trenched my yard with that Mercruiser, once. Forgot to raise it moving from wintering spot to driveway.

    Driving a Tesla

There is a solid state battery that is being designed that is supposed to be very fast charging. Might be other issues to deal with though. I was always hoping that hydrogen and hydrogen fuel cells would become economical.

finding transom saver for trailer / motor

I can only tell you what is in the manuals. I highly suspect it has to do with possible leakdown of hyd system. These were my first outboards with tilt and trim, and didn't know if you were suppose to use those mechancal lock-out or not. The manuals says not for trailering. When I had the...

Bow Mounted FF and Transducer Questions

Maybe you need another unit in the back? :) Outside of the occasional vertical jigging, only glace once in a while at the screen while fishing.

    Outboard pre-start warm up… Harmful?

I don't know if the 2s would wear the impeller much or not. If there was some residual water, probably not much. But if it has baked in the sun, maybe some. Not a good practice, regardless. How often have you replaced your impeller?

Bow Mounted FF and Transducer Questions

From my perspective: Option 1, I don't like using the transom transducer for the bow. You want to see what is right below you, or slightly forward. Option 2. I don't like having two different mfgs to learn and use the options availale today. At my age, learning new tricks gets harder every...

Need help with new-to-me Merc 115, died and won't start

Does it have an On-demand valve or is this pre-EPA venting requiremnet, Ie straight run to the tank? If the former, they fail and prevent fuel flow. I believe you use a screwdriver to bypass them. It was new to me with our 2022 150 Merc.

finding transom saver for trailer / motor

FWIW: My Merc 150 calls for trailering all the way down or use a transom saver. Do not rely on the power trim or the mechanical lock-out. The pontoon came with one and use it. I think the Yamaha 90 manual says same. That I trailer with all the way down and there is no need to tilt the jet...

    Graph mount

Originally I used a long arm, so that it could be lowered close to the deck while running, or raised high to see from the back seat. In the horizontal mode, it would get allot of shake because of the long arm and mass at the end. Added one of those foam golf balls to dampen it. Changed to a...
