I've looked at the In-Fisherman one before. The Fishingreminder link is pretty cool and provides a lot of info. In reality, I'm going to go fishing when I can go fishing.

It is kind of funny. We are going to hit the beach for some surf fishing tomorrow. The Fishingreminder link says it will be a poor day. The In-Fisherman says excellent. The Fishreminder link does allow selection of a more specific location while the In-Fisherman uses a zip code. Based on our experience, the Fishingreminder is probably right. The time of year and tides when we are going are not great. We are just going for the fun of it.

I had a really good day at Lake Berryessa this past Tuesday. Fishingreminder shows that as a three star day! Might be something to it.

Well, Fishingreminder was right on about yesterday being a poor surf fishing day at Salmon Creek beach.

I check for different things depending not the time of year. The one thing I always check year round before going is the wind forecast.

Both sites seem like BS to me, but what do I know. Not impressed.

I don't use any. In-Fisherman use to be my favorite mag, covering multi-species and mostly how-to. My son watches Utube videos of anyone fishing the Susquehanna for smallmouths. There was a guy that did allot of how-to on his Elec powered kayak. I watched a few of them, and even agreed with most of what he was saying.

My son plans some of our trips on moon phase. Wind, temps, time of year, and waterlevel info determines where and what we will try first. Outside of very bad conditions, if we plan to go, we go.

I think they should hire me as a field tester to confirm the accuracy. It would be tough work, but I would be willing to go fishing and document catches on poor, good, & excellent days. Might have to apply a coefficient to reflect my fishing skills.

My neighbor has used those lunar/ sun etc tables for many years for both hunting and fishing and he does very well !! I used to joke about it, but he has proven to me they work if you know how to use/ read them...
